On December 1, a delegation from the University of Glasgow, led by Deputy Vice-Chancellor Frank Coton, visited the Hainan Lingshui Li'an International Education Innovation Pilot Zone. The purpose of the visit was to meet students from Glasgow College Hainan and to inspect the campus facilities. The delegation was accompanied by leaders from the Pilot Zone Management Bureau and relevant officials from Glasgow College Hainan.

Professor Frank first delivered an academic lecture titled "Vortex Dominated Flows" to all teachers and students in the pilot zone. In the lecture, Frank discussed the importance of vortex-dominated fluid dynamics in nature, the challenges faced by humanity, and how this field of fluid dynamics integrates with engineering applications. His presentation was characterized by concise language, clear logic, and vivid examples. Following the lecture, the British delegation visited various shared spaces in the zone, including the library, stadium, and public laboratory buildings. They were briefed on the zone's efforts to meet major national strategic needs, its planning and construction, and future development goals.

Subsequently, the delegation conducted on-site visits to the teaching and management facilities of Glasgow College Hainan. They discussed the allocation of laboratory resources, smart classroom equipment, and the conditions of reading rooms with relevant personnel. The delegation also conducted in-depth research on five other universities in the zone: Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Communication University of China, Minzu University of China, Beijing Sport University, and Hainan Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences. They listened to the respective university leaders' introductions on the features of their Sino-foreign cooperative education programs.

During the visit, the British delegation also engaged with teachers and students in classrooms and cafeterias, having friendly exchanges to understand their work, study, and living conditions in Hainan.
