The National Student Electronic Design Competition is a national college student science and technology competition jointly sponsored by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and it is the largest and most influential electronic information discipline competition in China, attracting the participation of many colleges and universities and students every year. The Hainan Provincial Competition is hosted by the Hainan Provincial Department of Education and organised by the Hainan Organizing Committee of the National Student Electronic Design Competition. Competition using a semi-closed, relatively concentratedorganizational approach to carry out, in the 4 days and 3 nights of the competition time, the participating team members need to complete the works of the programme design, production and debugging, high technical difficulty, design procedures are complex, can be a comprehensive test of the theoretical foundation of the participating team members and practical innovation ability, training the team members of the communication and collaboration between the ability to improve students' practical engineering skills. It can comprehensively test the theoretical foundation and practical innovation ability of the participating team members, train the communication and collaboration between the team members, and improve the engineering practice ability of students.

The college has always attached importance to the participation in disciplinary competitions and extracurricular innovation project practice, encourage and support students to participate in high-level disciplinary competitions, adhere to the race to promote learningconcept of talent training. In the early stage of the initiative to get in touch with the organising committee of the Hainan race, and actively strive for the preparation of the college site, according to the requirements of the competition to set up the competition venue, professional electronic equipment and installation of monitoring, etc., to increase publicity and encourage more students to register for the competition, and at the beginning of July started the first by the waves of the plansummer training camp and electronic design competition training, set up a team of competition instructors, developed a comprehensive plan for the development and implementation of the competition and the development of the electronic design competition. Formation of the competition instructor team, the development of a perfect competition training system, invited the school high level instructor coach and award-winning student assistant to Hainan, detailed guidance for students' pre-competition training, so that students will be used for the practice of what they have learnt, and effectively improve the professional ability of the students to help students to participate in the competition more calmly and more powerful.

In this competition, the students of Glasgow Hainan College performed outstandingly, actively preparing for the competition while completing their intense studies. During the summer intensive training organised by the college, they competed for time, cooperated as a team and took the initiative to learn, which laid a solid foundation for achieving the final results of the competition. After the competition, representatives of each team actively shared their thoughts on the competition:

First prize team: Zhang Zhihan, Yang Zihan, Sun Jiaqi, instructor: Chen Zhuming.

Remarks on the competition:

Our team won the first prize in the National Student Electronic Design Competition Hainan Region, which is not only a comprehensive test of our professional skills, but also an important test of our teamwork ability. From the beginning of the formation, under the encouragement and guidance of the counsellor, combined with their respective expertise and interest, a clear division of labour plan. Students who are good at hardware design are responsible for the construction and debugging of the circuit boards, while those who have an in-depth understanding of software programming are responsible for writing the control algorithms and user interface. This division of labour allowed us to focus more on what we are good at, and at the same time improved the efficiency of the whole team.

During the four days and three nights of the competition, we faced a variety of unanticipated challenges. Soldering problems with circuit boards, debugging errors with programmes, compatibility problems with hardware, etc. Every problem tested our patience and wisdom. However, we were not intimidated by these difficulties. On the contrary, through the power of teamwork, we worked together to analyse the problems, look for solutions, brainstorm, break down the problems into small, actionable tasks, and then divide the work into smaller tasks to overcome them one by one.

We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to the two practice mentors for their material support and technical guidance during the preparation and conduct of the tournament, as well as the assistant coaches for their attentive guidance during the training process. Their pre-tournament coaching and support played an indispensable role in our team winning the first prize.

Second prize team: Cui He Tong, Han Qing Cheng, Yang Qian He, instructor: Li Qiang.

Remarks on the competition:

Participating in this electronic design competition made us gain a lot, not only to improve our professional ability, but also to exercise teamwork and problem solving ability. The H topic we chose for this competition requires us to design a complete embedded car to complete a specific driving task, all components of the car need to be assembled and debugged by ourselves, and all control codes need to be researched and written by ourselves, so we prepared a lot of professional knowledge in advance to cope with the situations we might encounter in the competition.

In the official competition, we also encountered a very large number of problems, the choice and change of solutions, the replacement and debugging of hardware, the code did not work and many attempts, etc. Most of them were solved in our team discussions. Most of them were solved in our team discussions. Even though there were some disagreements and arguments in the process, we finally reached an agreement. This was a big difference from my previous experience when I was searching for a solution alone, and I felt that the team members were very efficient in solving the problems by brainstorming.

In addition, the competition also helped us to improve our mindset and problem solving skills. In the process of designing and debugging the trolley, we also encountered some non-capable hardware factors, the original trolley had been debugged, but on the eve of the end of the competition time, the motor had an internal failure that could not be eliminated, in the final modification of the programme we were very anxious, but we tried to think of every possible way, although the result was not very satisfactory, but it also prompted us to continue to learn, which is what we gained through this electrical competition. These are also the things we gained from this e-competition.

Third prize team: Huang Jingyi, Li Yumo, Lin Cheng Yuhao, Instructor: Lu Shiquan.

Remarks on the competition:

The competition requires reasonable logic in programming, but also needs to fit the needs of the hardware and pay attention to the limitations of the hardware. The design of the frame not only needs to meet the requirements of the competition, but more importantly, it is a reasonable planning of the space location, so that the hardware used to match, and thus enhance the overall texture and durability of the frame. To this end, the team members carried out repeated tests and changes to improve their own ability, and gained a lot.

Third Prize Team: He Yunuo, Zhou Yichuan, Gu Jindian, Instructor: Chen Zhuming.

Remarks on the competition:

Participating in the electronic design competition is a very meaningful experience, which not only allows us to learn a lot of knowledge and skills about electronic design, but also develops teamwork and problem-solving skills. By participating in such a competition, I deeply appreciate the importance of combining theory and practice. During the competition, I not only need to use the theoretical knowledge I have learnt, but also need to apply this knowledge to the actual design and production. At the same time, teamwork is also an indispensable part of the competition, which involves discussing and determining the goals and directions of the project together. It is necessary to discuss the goals and directions of the project together and divide the work according to each person's expertise. Through working with my teammates, I learnt how to communicate and co-ordinate effectively with others, as well as how to allocate tasks and manage resources effectively. This experience of teamwork will be very useful to me in my future work and life. In addition, it also honed my problem-solving skills. In the project, we will encounter a variety of problems and difficulties, and need to keep looking for and trying solutions. In the process of solving problems, I learnt how to think and analyse problems, and dared to face challenges and try new solutions. Overall, participating in the Electronic Design Competition was a very meaningful experience. Through this experience, I have learnt a lot of knowledge and skills about electronic design, and I have also developed the ability of teamwork and problem solving. These experiences are very helpful for my future study and work, and I will continue to study and practice hard to improve my electronic design level.
